In 1976, Skateboard City was the first skate park ever built. It was also known as Scatboard City because their logo was the Scat Cat. It was located in Port Orange, Florida. Soon after, Carlsbad Skatepark opened in Carlsbad, California. It was not long before skate parks began appearing all over the country and even in places as far away as Europe and Asia.
